Modern Stepper Sound from Tokyo

Bim One Production is a Tokyo based Electronic Reggae riddim production unit formed in 2014 to take Reggae riddims to the next level. Bim One consists of two DJ / Producers: e-mura and 1TA a.k.a. DJ 1TA-RAW. e-mura was trackmaker of Tokyo's finest future ragga  crew PART2STYLE. Bim One build riddim  under their concept "world standard soundsystem music". Through their experience during the years, e-mura and 1TA have been at the forefront of forward thinking reggae sound by collaborating with Japanese and international artists.

Bim One's  first EP has been made soon after they left PART2STYLE. Title track "Gun Shot" featured Deejay/ Singjay Shanti-D from OBF Soundsystem which is the most breakthrough sound in whole Europe in these years. Main Tune Gunshot is a self killer stepper remake of their tune, it is absolutely for playing soundsystem. Also track "Chicken Fight Riddim" is genre crossing stepper bass sound.

Japanese Reggae Mix by Ghostbeard Ft, Yellow Mouse ( Kiki Hitomi )

Here is a Japanese Dub/Dancehall mix by Canadian Ninja Tune's boss Ghostbeard.

 she uses another alias "Yellow Mouse" In this mix, Ghost Beard selected many new-school Reggae/Dancehall tunes from Japan, It contains lots of PART2STYLE label related tunes and also contains legendary dub artists from Japan like Mighty Massa ad Dry & Heavy. Yellow Mouse sings/toasts on version then the mix goes as part-2 style smoothly. ROJ REGALO is coming to Europe. The band was formed by Pico Nakashima (aka. copa salvo)  in down town of Osaka in 2006. Their music is mixture of Cumbia, Reggae, Afro-Cuban and Japanese traditional,  future Osaka meets future South America with rebel music atitude and japanese Identity. They show the musical power of love with powerful vocal of Kyoko Ogino. Their EU tour was taken place last year and succeed to let people know as new kind of latin mixture music in Europe. their 2nd EU tour incluede 1st gig in London, UK. 

BUNBUN THE MC is originally a Japanese Reggae/Danehall Dee-jay as Known as Legendary in Osaka.

His flow is tricky and his style off-beat, and his lyrics are often equally esoteric, one song highhighting the unusual practice of "pearling" -a custom where by gangsters and jailbirds insert carefully sculpted parts of a toothbrush into their private parts.

BUNBUN's rude, upfront taste in music comes from the streets of Osaka, which have quite a similar atmosphere to the streets of Kingston.

No Nukes Song from Japan

The fear of Nuclear radiation in Japan after the March 11 earthquake impacted all over the world.
This case of Fukushima, Japan was worth case than the worst nuclear power plant accident in past history was Chernobyl, Ukrain that has caused tens of thousands of cancer deaths. it made each of us think nuclear plant is crucially big fear for the earth and human beings. Germany and Italy officially said no to nuclear plants.
Many nuclear protests has been taken place in Japan itself after 3.11 and it is getting bigger every time.
Also many musicians have made tunes to say no to nuclear plants, we introduce some of those antinuclear tunes here.

Japanese Original Alternative Reggae

Japan has its original and alternative reggae scene which is Japanese defined what reggae is for us. There are not Jamaican people are living, not like in UK, but so many Japanese love reggae and there are so many kinds of soundsystem as well, like revival one, brand new dancehall one, UK new roots style influenced by Jah shaka etc, but what we introduce are more Japanese original reggae (Japanese Raggamuffin) which does not belong to any others.




-RUB-A-DUB MARKET-

Rub-A-Dub Market is a “Tokyo-original-raggamufin-group” that consists of 3 members, composer/ selector, e-mura and 2MCs, Jage and MaL. Their roots is 80’s and 90’s Dance Hall Reggae but their music isn’t Jamaican, UK nor ordinary Japanese reggae.They’ve been creating Reggae art which comes out from 21st century eclectic Tokyo culture.They made sessions with many artists from abroad such as Mad Professor, Mungo's Hi Fi, Daddy Freddy, General Levy, Macka B, Gaz Mayall and Bigga Bush a.k.a Lightning Head, Congo Natty (Rebel MC), NICKODEMUS (Turntables on the Hudson),at the nights. In 2004, they participated in Quatro Live which is annual new years eve event by Ska Flames. 25th April 2007,they have released brand new album "DIGIKAL ROCKERS" includes ROB SMITH's and FORCE OF NATURE's Remixes.Nowadays, there are more Reggae fans who also like other kinds.
